Here at Mankind, we're lucky enough to get the opportunity to try out exciting new grooming essentials, as well as to get our hands on the most popular grooming products around. Read our Best in Grooming roundup to get to know more about the best things we've got to test out over the last month.

The Best in Grooming March 2019

1. House 99 Change it Up Texturizing Clay

First up on our list of the Best in Grooming this March is a product that's been on a radar for a while. The House 99 Change it Up Texturizing Clay has been a favourite at Mankind for a few months now and a good number of the team are finding themselves using it every day. We wrote about it last month in our Meet Your Haircare Match blog piece, and this month it's making our Best in Grooming list.

Why do we love it so much? Its cream-like texture on application means people of any hair type can easily make use of it. Unlike creams and pomades however, it has a  matte finish and natural feel that makes it the perfect tool to create relaxed, textured looks. It comes highly recommended from the Mankind office.

2. Anthony Glycolic Facial Cleanser

The Glycolic Facial Cleanser from Anthony is a major favourite at Mankind for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we're of the opinion that building an exfoliating ingredient into a daily cleanser is a great solution and time saver for a lot of guys. Men usually produce more oil from their skin than women do, and have thicker pores that become clogged more quickly, especially on the face. Many men therefore see benefits from lightly exfoliating daily, especially those with particularly oily skin.

And secondly, the cleanser from Anthony comes with a fantastic profile of nutritive and conditioning ingredients such as Vitamin A, C and E, as well as Calendula, Chamomile and Aloe Vera that soothes it. This means you can use it every day, effectively cleansing and exfoliating, without risking irritation.

3. Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Bath and Shower Gel

Molton Brown have a luxuriously scented body care essential for all tastes, and we've loved trying out this Orange & Bergamot Bath and Shower Gel. Combining notes of Bergamot, Neroli, and Musk, as well as refreshing Seville Orange, this conditioning body wash formulation has a quintessentially masculine fragrance.

4. Lab Series Skincare for Men Oil Control Daily Moisturiser

The Oil Control Daily Moisturiser from Lab Series makes use of Amazonian White Clay and Sea Whip Extract to absorb oil and minimise shine. It manages to do this while locking in huge amounts of moisture, leaving your skin plumped, soft, and refreshed. Needless to say, we're impressed.

5. men-ü Matt Moisturiser

Alternatively, the men-ü Matt Moisturiser is an exceptional option if you're looking for a daily moisturiser that won't break the bank. As we detailed in our blog on men-ü's 3R Grooming initiative, they're a brand that are leading the way in minimising plastic waste, and maximising performance.

Their Matt Moisturiser is no exception. Its precision pump ensures no product is wasted, and it's available in refill packs, meaning you can reuse the pump and recycle the packaging.

6. Redken Brews Men's Beard Oil

We love beard oil and we can't shout about them enough. If you've ever tried to grow out your beard but have been sadly deterred by growing pains and discomfort, you're certainly not alone, and beard oil may be the key to solving your problem.

Beard hair is typically a lot drier and coarser than other types of hair, and combing a drop of beard oil through the hair will soften and moisten it for the whole day, as well as smelling incredible.

The Redken Brews Beard Oil is fast absorbing, conditioning, and soothing. It blends Avocado, Apricot Kernel and Olive Fruit Oils to create a unique formulation that is the perfect solution to uncomfortable or tangled beards.

7. Aesop Tacit Eau de Parfum Fragrance

Aesop need no introduction, and their Tacit Eau De Parfum has become an instant classic. Blending distinctive, intriguing notes of Basil and Grant Vert, the fragrance was composed with the aim of evoking the scents and scenery of the Mediterranean.

8. Hanz De Fuko Gentle Face Wash

The Gentle Face Wash from Hanz De Fuko launched earlier this month, and honestly we couldn't be more excited. Alongside their Invisible Shave Cream this is the iconic hair styling brand's first foray into skincare, and it's safe to say we've been impressed.

The Face Wash makes use of the antioxidant and anti-ageing properties of Pomegranate and Rooibos Leaf, as well as soothing Aloe Vera, and a blend of 9 other natural plant extracts. Invigorating and refreshing, but suitable for sensitive skin types, it slots easily into anybody's grooming routine.

9. Murdock London Beard Moisturiser

Murdock London are a brand that bring their years of barbershop expertise to the public through their incredible grooming range. There are a number of highlights that we could touch on from their product selection, but a number of the bearded men around the office have become very attached to their Murdock London Beard Moisturiser.

Its fresh masculine fragrance is composed of Orange Peel Oil, Cinnamon, Cedarwood, Balsam, and Eucalyptus, and it contains conditioning and softening agents such as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and highly moisturising Glycerine. Apply a pump of this to the skin under a freshly washed beard and you'll notice any itchiness will disappear within a couple of days. Comb through with a drop of beard oil to complete an unbeatable beard care routine.

10. Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Scalp Anti-Thinning Shampoo

Last on our list of the Best in Grooming for March 2019 is an absolutely vital grooming item. The shampoo is the foundation of your hairstyle, and if you're thinning or receding, sometimes it can feel like your foundation is a little flimsy. That's where a thickening shampoo such as the Tea Tree Scalp Anti-Thinning from Paul Mitchell comes in extremely handy.

Made with Pea Peptides, which strengthen hair fibres, stimulating Ginseng, and a thickening Regeniplex blend, this shampoo will help to promote scalp health and help you make the most of fine, thinning, or receding hair.
