Whether you have a habit of hitting the snooze button several times in the morning or just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day, time saving hacks can make a huge difference. Not only will they make your early mornings a little bit less painful, you’ll also be extra prepared and less likely to forget anything upon leaving the house. Simply introducing one or two of our time saving hacks below into your daily routine will improve your productivity.

Prep Meals In Advance

There’s nothing worse than getting hungry at work and realising that you’ve forgotten to make lunch. Upon getting home in the evening, prepare your meals for the next day and pop it into the fridge. You’ll thank yourself in the morning when you can reward yourself an extra 15 minutes in bed. If you have a habit of forgetting your readily prepped meals at home, place your keys on top of it so you’ll remember to grab it on your way out the door.

Plan Your Schedule A Week At A Time

Not being able to clearly see what you need to do each day can make you less productive. Spend 15 minutes or so on a Sunday evening and plan out tasks you need to do throughout the week to make sure you don’t forget anything. This way, it can also help you to prevent procrastinating rather than getting things done.

Pack Everything At Night

Packing everything last minute whilst rushing out of the door in the morning can make it difficult to remember everything. Instead, pack everything you need before you go to bed and put your bag beside the door. You can even choose your outfit for the day and leave it hung on the front of your wardrobe. This will save you the hassle of picking out clothes whilst half asleep.

Morning Playlist Timer

If you’re not a morning person, it’s easy to get distracted whilst getting ready. Create a playlist of upbeat music which will play from the moment you get up to the minute you need to leave. After a few days, you’ll have built a habit of doing certain tasks to specific songs. For example, you’ll know that by the time you reach the 7th song, you should be getting out of the shower. This unusual method works surprisingly well because if you fall behind schedule, you’ll notice straight away.

Invest In A Timed Coffee Machine

If you don’t own one already, you should invest in a coffee machine with a timer. Schedule your machine to start brewing your morning cup of energy 10 minutes before your alarm is set to go off. When climbing out of bed, you’ll have a cup of coffee ready for you at the perfect temperature to drink. Plus, the smell of a fresh brew is bound to help stimulate your senses more quickly.
