After a cold, harsh winter, the chances are your fitness routine has fallen behind. Now warmer weather is just around the corner, you’re probably going to want to get back into the flow of things and increase your health ready for summer. To revamp your exercise routine, switch up your old habits to make way for new and exciting activities. You’re way more likely to stay motivated and the change in routine will help you to work muscles  you don’t usually focus on.

Invest In A Personal Trainer

It’s easy to say that you’re going to start exercising and make a schedule, but sticking to it is a lot harder. Investing in a personal trainer will make sure that you get up and exercise even when you don’t want to and you’ll thank them later. If a personal trainer is not an option for you for whatever reason, find a friend who already enjoys exercising to go with. Their motivation is likely to rub off on you and the natural bit of competitiveness which builds won’t do any harm at pushing you.

Join A Class

If you struggle to come up with your own workout regime, joining a class could be the way forward. Check the websites of your local gyms and leisure centres and see which classes they have on. Sign up to a couple and pay for them in advance as an extra incentive to go. One of the best things about a class is that you will push yourself more than you would on your own. This is because you’ll want to keep up with the teacher and everyone else.

Go Swimming

When the weather is warm, diving into a refreshing pool is one of the best feelings. Going swimming once a week will not only work out every muscle in your body, it also helps with chronic pains due to the weightlessness you experience in the water. Try to go early in the morning or during an adult’s only session so you can swim peacefully without overcrowding or small children.

Visit The Spa

One of the best ways to make the most out of your workout is to let your body relax. Visiting a spa and spending time in the sauna or steam room detoxes the body whilst also improving your heart rate. This makes everything you do in and out of the gym a lot more effective. You can even treat yourself to a massage treatment to relax your muscles and release tension within the body.

Spa Experiences for Men

Contrary to popular belief, a spa in the modern day is not somewhere visited exclusively by women for pamper days. In fact, the majority of spas offer treatments especially designed for men, whilst some locations are specifically male orientated. Not only are spa experiences for men enjoyable, we believe that they’re essential due to the large array of health benefits.

Treat Your Body Post-Workout

The way you treat your body after exercise makes a huge impact on your workout mentality. If you don’t have something to look forward to afterwards, your motivation will decrease. To combat this, invest in a couple of post-workout products to refresh and revitalise. Soothe sore muscles with the Rituals Samurai Ice Shower Gel. Designed for use after sports, it delivers a cooling sensation on the skin to relax your body. Give your hair the same cooling treatment with the AB CREW Men’s Nitro Conditioner. This freezes the scalp to cool you down instantly. Finally, you don’t want to leave the gym looking red-faced and sweaty. Anthony Glycolic Exfoliating and Resurfacing Wipes gently exfoliate whilst removing dirt and impurities to leave you with a healthy glow.
