Here at Mankind, we’re sharing our top coffee recipes with you to help boost your energy and kill your exhaustion so you can make the most of early gift buying time!
Hot Buttered Toffee Coffee
This toffee coffee recipe is the perfect way to boost your energy whilst relaxing and enjoying a sweet beverage. Serving one, you can enjoy it in peace before the madness of the holidays unravels!
Ingredients:
113g coffee mocha ice cream
170g hot coffee
30ml butterscotch sauce
10ml almond liqueur
1 dollop whipped cream
toffee pieces
Method:
Take a large coffee cup and spoon in the ice cream. Next, pour the coffee, butterscotch sauce and almond liqueur on top. Garnish by adding the whipped cream on top and sprinkle on the toffee pieces.
Steaming Mocha Cocoa
With a flawless blend of coffee, cocoa and vanilla, this steaming mocha cocoa for two is great for enjoying with friends or family. Just remember, the balance of flavours in this coffee are so good, it’s addictive!
Ingredients:
473ml milk
cocoa
brown sugar
ground coffee
5ml vanilla extract
Method:
Begin by heating all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Whisk them together until it is steaming. Finally, strain the mixture to remove lumps pour into two mugs. If you’re making this for the whole family, remember to double up the ingredients.
Red Eye
This super simple coffee recipe serves one and the name is very suitable. Make yourself one of these on those days where getting up seems impossible and your energy will skyrocket! However, don’t drink more than one because it’s extremely strong coffee and you’ll want to get some sleep eventually…
Ingredients:
28ml espresso
237ml hot coffee
Method:
As the red eye coffee is for days where you want to do as little as possible, the recipe is super simple. All you need to do is combine the espresso and hot coffee into a cup and drink. Trust us; you won’t be struggling to keep your eyes open after this!
Iced Cherry Coffee
If you fancy a more refreshing coffee boost to keep you awake, our iced cherry coffee recipe will do the trick. This one requires quite a bit of preparation but if you’re happy to try it, we can guarantee you’ll be rewarded.
Ingredients:
850ml water
125ml mocha coffee
250g black cherry syrup
375g lemonade
4 chopped black cherries
Shaved ice
Method:
First of all, you need to prepare the cold brew coffee. Begin by letting the coffee infuse in cold water for around 12 hours, then filter it using a cloth or paper filter. Next, add 200ml of water to each 200ml of the cold brew to dilute. For the cherry lemonade, mix together the lemonade and black cherry syrup. Finally, fill the glasses with shaved ice, black cherry pieces, 150ml black cherry lemonade and 100g of diluted cold brew each.
Espresso Martini
For those of you who want a bit of a kick in your coffee, look no further than the alcoholic espresso martini. This coffee cocktail recipe serves 1 and uses traditional liqueurs.
Ingredients:
1 cup of coffee
30ml vodka
30ml Frangelico
6 ice cubes
5g sugar
½ of a Gianduiotto chocolate
Method:
Make the cup of coffee and add sugar to sweeten. Take a cocktail shaker and place the ice, sweetened coffee, vodka and Frangelico in and shake vigorously. Then pour the contents into a martini glass. Make an incision into the chocolate so it can rest on the edge of the glass to garnish and serve.
